Eamonn O'Reilly has quietly carved out an exciting and successful career as one of the countrys best chefs and restaurateurs, his career started at the age of 14 under the guidance of his father and mentor Robert Patrick O'Reilly at Dublins leading 5 star hotel of its time. Eamonn stayed with his father for 5 years learning every aspect of the kitchen spending his last year honing his patisserie & bread skills, at the age of 19 Eamonn was the Pastry Chef & Baker at The Conrad International for one year, after a brief stint in Paris he then joined The Westbury during his time here & at the age of 20 he was the youngest ever chef to be accepted & to complete the Masters chef 706-3 London City & Guilds after which he worked as Restaurant Chef de Cuisine in leading hotels & restaurants & travelled extensively working at Irish International festivals in The Ritz-Carlton Boston, The Ritz-Carlton Detroit and The Sheraton Casablanca and then after working together with Yannick Allenno at The Westbury he went to Paris for a stage with Yannick at the three star Michelin Le Meurice in Hotel Meurice on Rue de Rivoli, this was a real eye opener & on returning at the age of 23 Eamonn was offered the position of Executive Chef at a new Dublin hotel and was awarded the Egon Ronay Newcomer of The Year. In 1997 at the age of 25 he opened One Pico to much acclaim and in 2001 moved to a bigger premises at its present address. Subsequently Eamonn opened Pacific Restaurant & Sky Bar a 250 cover brasserie off Dame Street he also opened The Box Tree Restaurant in Stepaside Village, Bleu Bistro Moderne in Dublin 2, The Wild Boar Gastro Pub & Wine Room also in Stepaside, The Greenhouse off St.Stephens Green Dublin 2 and he also runs a successful consultancy business.

The Box Tree was also awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand 2012 and was the only new Irish entry in the Michelin Guide & The Wild Boar recently received a Gastropub Award & Michelin Eating out Pub Award 2012 & is only one of two pubs in Dublin to receive Michelin recognition. 2012 March 27th will see the opening of a new restaurant by Eamonn O’Reilly called The Greenhouse it will be located off St.Stephens Green on Dawson St & it promises to be a unique 40 cover restaurant of understated luxury with cooking from Chef Mickael Viljanen.
